Does this ever happen to you? ๐๐ผโโ๏ธ
You ๐ look around your world ๐ and see others thriving and wonder why things arenโt working out for you like they are for them.โโโ
๐ฐYour business is barely limping along while your colleagues are killing it.
๐ช The smell of a cookie makes your pants instantly tighter while your best friend can eat a whole box of Oreos and not gain a pound.
๐ซ Your sweet child is taking the SAT for the third time to try to increase his score while the neighborโs kid landed a full-ride scholarship to an Ivy League school.
๐คฌ Ugh!!! Itโs so easy to get caught up in the Compare and Despair Game. But, there is no winner in this game. You only feel worse when you compare yourself to someone else.
Why is that? Itโs not because they are better than you or further along than you, itโs because you are comparing your creative process (the living of your life) with someone elseโs โfinishedโ product. From the outside, you donโt know what went on behind the scenes to create their life.
When you judge yourself as lesser than in any way, you have stopped loving yourself. And anything less than love feels terrible.
๐ So, how do you stop yourself from comparing?
๐ The tip is to stay in your energy. Another way to say this is to mind your own business. Allow the world and everyone in it to do what it wants and allow your life to keep unfolding at its own pace.
Remember, your life is unique to you. Itโs supposed to look and feel different than others. Youโre meant to create in your way.
Keep in mind:
๐๐ผโโ๏ธ Life is not a race.
๐ Life is not about who racks up the most successes.
๐ฑYou cannot win at life.
๐๐ป๐๐ป๐ฅฐ You can only ENJOY life.๐๐ป๐๐ป
And enjoyment is a choice. A constant choice to decide to enjoy each experienceโexactly where you are, who you are, and what youโre doing.
Choose to adore the messiness of life and enjoy every minute! Itโs yours to love.๐
