- Seek joy – first and foremost.
- Seek reason to laugh.
- Seek reasons to offer words of praise – to self and others.
- Seek beauty in nature, beasts and other humans.
- Seek reasons to love. In every segment of every day – look for something that brings forth within you a feeling of love and appreciation.
- Seek that which uplifts you.
- Seek opportunity to offer that which uplifts others.

Notice the Good Life You’ve Got!
“What a wonderful life I’ve had! I only wish I’d realized it sooner.”-Colette
I can fall into the trap of looking forward to the future. Waiting for the vacation get away, losing those last 10 pounds, or even holding out for Friday. Sound familiar? Dreaming is good. I am a dreamer, but if I delay my happiness until the dream is reached I lose because it’s a trap. A trap that never ends.
Your Life Production
“All the world’s a stage, And all the men and women merely players; They have their exits and their entrances, And one man in his time plays many parts, His acts being seven ages.” William Shakespeare, from As You Like It
Most of you are familiar with the idea that life is like a play. You understand that you are the main character in your own story. You play many roles while you are here—wife,
What’s Your Pact with the Universe?
One of my favorite authors, Pam Grout, recently blogged about making a covenant with the Universe. Her story got my wheels turning in my mind and my heart beating in my chest.
Here is the story she told…
“You might remember the story in E-Squared about the founders of Silent Unity, a worldwide movement that proclaims a bigger truth about who we are and why we’re here. The movement was started more than 135 years ago by Myrtle Fillmore who healed herself of tuberculosis and aggravated malaria.
Inspiration from Rumi
Everyone has been made for some particular work, and the desire for that work has been put in every heart.

Trusting the Currents
“I know its hard imaginin’, Addie Mae, but you gotta learn to trust the currents in life, no matter where they be takin’ you. If you’re pure of heart and brave and ask God to put you where you can do His best, you will find the one place in life that you alone belong. And isn’t that the real meanin’ of happiness? Discovering that one place that God carved out of life only ’cause you were born?”

Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.

Christmas Poem
A Politically Correct Christmas
~ Anon
Twas the night before Christmas and Santa’s a wreck…
How to live in a world that’s politically correct?
His workers no longer would answer to “Elves”,
“Vertically Challenged” they were calling themselves.
And labor conditions at the North Pole,
were alleged by the union, to stifle the soul.
Four reindeer had vanished without much propriety,
released to the wilds,
St. Francis Prayer
St. Francis Prayer
Lord, make me an instrument of your peace;
where there is hatred, let me sow love;
when there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
Grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood, as to understand,
From: As You Think
Mind is the master power that molds and makes,
And we are Mind, and evermore we take
The tool of thought, and shaping what we will,
Bring forth a thousand joys, a thousand ills,
We think in secret, and it comes to pass –
Our world is but our looking glass.

Invitation
If you are a dreamer, come in,
If you are a dreamer, a wisher, a liar,
A hope-er, a pray-er, a magic bean buyer…
If you’re a pretender, come sit by my fire
For we have some flax-golden tales to spin.
Come in!
Come in!

Celebrate Your Crazy!
Here’s to the crazy ones.
The misfits. The rebels. The troublemakers.
The round pegs in the square holes.
The ones who see things differently.
They’re not fond of rules.
And they have no respect for the status quo.
You can praise them, disagree with them, quote them,
disbelieve them, glorify or vilify them.
About the only thing you can’t do is ignore them.
Because they change things.
