If you’re anything like me, you might not be great at keeping New Year’s Resolutions. I used to fuss at myself for not having the will power to make the changes in my life, but now I know better.
You see, my personality-self loves when I list goals and make plans. My personality-self loves when I use my mind to make all the decisions.
But, there is a deeper, wiser version of me that balks when I only make decisions with my head.
If you are one of those people who need help finishing things or staying on track, this post is not for you.
Today, I am talking to all my folks out there who rule the world from their desks (home or office). The lovely ladies and gentlemen who get shit done. Who juggle kids, work, exercise, and social obligations. The people who can book spring break vacations while grocery shopping. The women who read their latest book club book on the Peloton.
I love a new calendar. I am thrilled that paper calendars and planners are having a comeback. I’ve missed them!
The new fancy calendars with dots, to-do lists, planners, and inspirational quotes are incredible. They’re beautiful creations, but they’re not for me.
It’s super easy for me to become a taskmaster when I have too specific of a plan. I’ll work like hell to get it done.
